The awards ceremony of the Romanian Fine Arts Union for 2003 and of the Bursaries of the Romanian Fine Arts Union for the year 2004 was organized by the Romanian Fine Arts Union, with the support of several sponsors at The Floreasca Club in Bucharest, where was also organized and exhibition of the winners.
The host of the Ceremony was the President of the Romanian Fine Arts Union, the painter Zamfir Dumitrescu, who after announcing the plastic artists nominated for each category of the awards, he handed the awards and the bursaries to the winners.
The President of the Jury was the ceramist Simona Steliana Tanasescu, who presented succinctly the creation of each winner, stressing the artistic qualities which kept the jury in its final deliberation.
Were present at the event, along with plastic artists, winners and their guests, personalities in the cultural and political life, sponsors, Reporters from television and radio, representatives of press agencies, journalists. Worth mentioned the presence, among many others, of the Prime Minister of Romania, Mr. Adrian Nastase, Minister of Culture, academician Razvan Theodorescu, Lucrezia Peace and cella Neamtu, masters of tapestry, the painters Stefan Sevastre and Sorin Ilfoveanu, the art critics Radu Ionescu and Octavian Barbosa, the stage-designer Ion Popescu Udriste.
The President of the Romanian Fine Arts Union, the painter Zamfir Dumitrescu made press statements and gave interviews to the media, which largely reflected the event.
All those present received the winners catalogue, printed especially for the ceremony.
The event ended with a cocktail.
