The artwork of painter Zamfir Dumitrescu "Tamar Views", structured as a window with four landscapes near old river Tamar, was selected, along with 42 other works of all the many painters, in the final edition of the fifth Competition 'John Glover Prize' in Tasmania, Australia.

The competition was doubled by the exhibition of 43 artworks entered into the final, works inspired by the landscapes of Tasmania, exhibition which was open to the public at Falls Park Pavilion in Evandale, Tasmania, between 8-11 March 2008.

The jury announced the winner in 2008 edition of the competition 'John Glover Prize' at the cocktail of the official opening of the exhibition of the finalists in the evening of 7 March 2008.

The winner of the trophy of the competition, 4000 Australian dollars, representing the layout of the bronze of John Glover, made by the sculptor Pete Corlett received a sum of 30 000 Australian dollars.

In the afternoon of 11th of March 2008 was announced the winner of the prize offered by the public, "The People's Choice Award", of 3,000 Australian dollars.

As in the previous years, the organizers have invited the finalists and the public to a concert of chamber music in the hall where the works of the finalists were exhibited in Falls Park Pavilion, Evandale, concert which included works by Gounod and Dvorak, having mr. Sebastian Lang-Lessing as conductor.
