After a three years journey in the U.S. museums, the artwork of the master Zamfir Dumitrescu "One dollar painting will be exhibited at Dominus Gallery in Bucharest

"One dollar painting", creation of the painter Zamfir Dumitrescu, who on April 15th will turn sixty-five years, has been present in the United States of America, in one of the most interesting exhibitions for the professional artists, members of the International Guild of Realism Association .
The artworks of the participants, 56 artists representing countries such as United States, Canada, Netherlands, Russia, France, Iceland, Romania, Norway, Finland, were selected by a jury since the fall of 2006.
The Exhibition "The New Reality: The Frontier of Realism in the 21st Century", subtitled " tour of museums", organized by Smith Kramer Travelling Exhibition managed what they proposed, in the opinion of international critics, to present the stage of the realism at the beginning of the 21st century, compared with the artworks of masters, precursors of the realism, such as Da Vinci, Durer, Vermeer, Harnett, Constable, Memling, Bellini.
"One dollar painting" (size 65x65cm, oil on canvas, made by the master Zamfir Dumitrescu in 1997) could be admired together with the artwork of Giovanni Bellini “Young Woman Doing Her Hair” since 2008 on the cymas of several major American museums such as Wichita Art Museum in Kansas, the Springfield Museums in Massacchusatts, at the RWNorton Art Gallery in Louisiana, at the Fine Art Museum in Owensboro, Kentucky, at the Historic City Hall & Cultural Center in the City of Lake Charles in Louisiana, at the Museum of Texas Tech University in Texas, at the Ocala Appleton Museum of Art in Florida, to at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum Wausau in Wisconsin, at the Indian Hills Community College Ottumwa in Iowa, at the Gari Melchers Home and Studio Fredericksburg in Virginia.
The event was covered extensively by the American media as well as the Romanian one, and presented in details on the websites of the organizers, www.smithkramer.com , www.realismguild.com, on the web-sites of the museums included in this tour, but also on the artist web-site at www.zamfirdumitrescu.com.
From May 2011 the artwork "One dollar painting" will be exposed in Bucharest in the new premises of the DOMINUS Gallery, located in Dorobanti Square, 13 Tudor Stefan Street, 1st floor, where are invited and expected as guests both collectors and art lovers.
